The Workers Compensation Insurance rating Bureau (WCIRB) is preparing to file a new rate increase recommendation of 27.7% for the California Insurance Commissioner to consider for Workers Compensation policies incepting and renewing on or after January 1, 2011.
The move to amend the filing follows a review of the industry’s 2nd quarter experience, which actually shows a continuing deterioration in the claims data . The formal rate hearing won’t take place until October 12th, 2010.
